Before we had to ask our date
If they were gay, bi or straight
Mohammed Ali went by Cassius Clay
Loved Babe Ruth and Willie Mays

Got milk and cheese straight from the dairy
Had yet to investigate the Watergate tapes
Charlie Manson and Sharon Tate were scary
When it took two to raise a family
And a man and woman to be married

Lewis and Martin were just barely startin’
When we were still back in kindergartin
Lassie was our favorite collie
